Shirakaba Resort - Ikenotaira Hotel

Perched at an altitude of approximately 1450 meters, Lake Shirakaba stands as one of the most renowned highland resorts in the Shinshu region.
Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the ever-changing seasons, surrounded by nature, from the invigorating summer, the season of blooming flowers from spring to early summer, the vibrant hues of autumn foliage, to the glistening winter.

I hope more people come to appreciate the beauty of the lake, making Lake Shirakaba their destination and choosing to stay at the Ikenotaira Hotel.

As the front desk staff is the first point of contact for visitors upon arriving at the hotel, their role significantly influences the initial impression of the hotel. Keeping this in mind, I strive to provide a welcoming and pleasant service to our guests.
Additionally, since Ikenotaira Hotel is quite sizable, I make an effort to offer information that helps guests visualize and understand the hotel's layout during check-in, addressing any queries they may have.
While my initial motivation for joining the hotel was the desire to work at Ikenotaira Hotel rather than having a special attachment to "Lake Shirakaba," my interest in the Lake Resort Plan has grown during my tenure, and I find myself appreciating the charm of Lake Shirakaba every day.
I hope more people come to value the quality of time spent at Lake Shirakaba and choose this as their destination, saying, "I came to Ikenotaira Hotel because of Lake Shirakaba."
Lake Shirakaba is abundant in nature, and its most alluring aspect is the ability to experience the distinct seasonal sensations of spring, summer, autumn, and winter all in one place. I invite visitors to savor the exhilarating feeling when the view suddenly unfolds on the way to the lake.

My favorite time is early July when Mount Kurumayama turns green after the winter.
While many visit this area for skiing, the green season is equally delightful. I love watching the snow melt, transforming the landscape into vibrant greenery, with flowers blooming in a myriad of colors.

I highly recommend taking an evening stroll along the lakeside. Just before sunset, there is a beautiful time when Mount Kurumayama reflects on the lake. Especially when I first started working, I often walked around the lake after work during that time. It is a short walk from the hotel, and I still frequently recommend it to our guests.

The enticing buffet with fresh seasonal ingredients and the hot spring with a view of Lake Shirakaba captivate many visitors. From spring to autumn, create lasting memories at the Family Land amusement park, just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. In winter, the ski slopes are conveniently located right in front, making our hotel a versatile leisure destination offering seasonal activities from your children's first experience with playing in the snow to their skiing debut.
